APT Selects AdLizard as Technology Partner APT chooses AdLizard for On-Line Display Ad Creation Tool Daylight Savings Time Change in 2007 On August 8, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005. This Act changed the time change dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November. The Secretary of Energy will report the impact of this change to Congress. Congress retains the right to resume the 2005 Daylight Saving Time schedule once the Department of Energy study is complete. To download the article Click Here APT Welcomes John Reed David Kraai president of Advanced Publishing Technology announced that John Reed has joined the management team to lead the online products division. “John’s goal is to lead the industry in delivering flexible, affordable online solutions. APT has proven it is possible to get a return on investment when you partner with the right company,” stated Mr. Kraai. John intends to continue assisting APT customers’ increase revenue and expand readership in their ever changing market by implementing best practices and first class products. He brings an extensive background both in business and newspaper publishing experience. John joined the Newspaper industry in November 2001 as Controller for the Commercial-News in Danville, IL where he was responsible for IT direction and daily management. During his tenure as Controller, he became intimately acquainted with APT products as he managed the upgrades to Falcon Classified Order Entry and Falcon Editorial Products. He also lead a team that implemented Falcon Display Order Entry, A/R, and Falcon Circulation, making the Commercial-News one of the first sites to completely standardize their operation on the APT platform. Sid joined APT after 17+ years in the newspaper industry in the circulation department at The Pantagraph, in Bloomington, IL. His extensive experience as the motor route manager, home delivery manager and the subscription sales/retention manager enhances our dynamic circulation project team. Sid also brings hands on experience using the Falcon Circulation system in a day to day environment for the last two years.
